College of Engineering Alumni Board Meeting

College of Engineering Alumni Board Members are to meet at noon at the Stitzlein Alumni Center, 138 Fir Hill.  Lunch will be served; therefore, be sure to RSVP to Chris Franz. 

College of Education Alumni Board Meeting and Graduate Reception
Date: November 24, 2009
Time: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
The Education Alumni Board will meet promptly at 4:30 p.m. at the Stizlein Alumni Center.  Members will then report at 5:00 p.m. to the Paul Martin University Center, 105 Fir Hill, for the Graduate Reception to welcome and congratulate education graduates for December.  Refreshements will be served. 

Holiday Luncheon

Polar Express
Date: December 09, 2009
Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Join us for the Polar Express with the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad on Wednesday, December 9, 2009!  The train will leave the Akron station at 7 p.m. and will return at approximately 9 p.m.  Tickets are $30 per person, and we need to know ASAP if you would be interested in participating and how many tickets you would like.  This year, we have secured two train cars for a total of 160 tickets, and they will go quickly! 

Guests will follow the story of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.  Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas aboard the train as they travel to the North Pole while enjoying hot cocoa and cookies, and singing carols on their way!  At the North Pole, through train windows, children will see holiday characters, the silhouettes of elves hard at work, and Santa.  We hope to have you join us on this exciting and unique experience!
